Senior Photography Session | cascade valley Metro Park | Akron, Oh

June 12, 2024

Mary | Class of 2024

Mary is a Class of 2024 Walsh Jesuit High School graduate. Mary wanted her senior session to be very relaxed and natural—“nothing too crazy!” she’d remarked.

We decided that the Cascade Valley Metro Park area offered everything Mary had envisioned for her session. This location has become one of my favorites to shoot at. We arrived early in the morning and had about 30 minutes to get our pictures around the Himelright Lodge before an event that day, and before the sun was too harsh. We made it work and oh the images we created were amazing! The fields of grass were gorgeous and the fall colors truly showed off. If you want a beautiful location for your fall senior session, this is the place for you!

I asked Mary’s mom to bring some flowers for her to hold and she picked the most lovely daisies from her own garden—since I love flowers, I try to incorporate some in every senior girl photoshoot. Mary also brought some books to her session—this girl loves to read!

Our next location was at the Oxbow area, which has an access to the Cuyahoga River and is located just across from where we were shooting at. What a gorgeous setting to finish off Mary’s session. I could’ve spent the whole day shooting with this sweet girl. She’s beautiful, kind, and smart. Mary likes cats, cars, reading, exercising, watching movies, spending time with her boyfriend and making money (I told you she was smart!). She plans to attend the College of Wooster and wants to open her own auto mechanics shop one day. You go, beautiful one! Keep reaching for the stars and dreaming big! xo
